Knitting in Greece 2027

These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made through the Storm Knitting Art website for the Knitting in Greece 2027 retreat taking place in Zagorochoria, Epirus, Greece, from 22 to 27 March 2027.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking.
1. Organisers and Service Providers
Knitting Programme
The knitting programme is organised and provided by Marina Intzepelidou.

Tourism and Travel Services
The tourism-related part of the retreat is organised and provided by:

Areti Grammatas is responsible for the tourism and travel-related services, including accommodation, excursions, local tourism activities, transportation and other tourism services specifically included in the programme.
Separate Payments
The retreat is presented on the website as one complete experience for the convenience of participants. However, the services are provided by two separate service providers. Payments are therefore divided between the two service areas:
First payment: made to Areti Grammatas for the tourism and travel-related services.
Second payment: made to Marina Intzepelidou / Storm Knitting Art for the knitting programme and knitting-related services.
The amounts and payment schedule applicable to each service are communicated to the participant during the booking process and in the booking confirmation.
2. The Retreat
Knitting in Greece is a knitting retreat taking place in Zagorochoria, Epirus, Greece. The retreat is scheduled for 22–27 March 2027.
The programme may include accommodation, knitting workshops, meals and selected activities and excursions as described on the retreat website and in the booking information. The exact programme may be adjusted when necessary due to weather, availability, operational reasons or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Any significant changes will be communicated to participants as soon as reasonably possible.
3. Booking
A booking is made through the booking system on the Storm Knitting Art website.
By submitting a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
Your booking is not considered confirmed until the required payment has been received and your booking has been confirmed by us.
A booking confirmation will be sent to you by email.
Please check your confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.
4. Prices
The price applicable to your booking is the price displayed at the time of booking.
The price depends on the selected accommodation and occupancy option.
Unless otherwise stated on the booking page, the retreat price includes only the services specifically listed in the retreat description and booking information.
Flights to and from Greece are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
Personal expenses, travel insurance and other services not specifically listed as included are the responsibility of the participant.
5. Payment
The payment schedule applicable to your booking will be displayed during the booking process and/or in your booking confirmation.
Payment may be made by the payment methods offered on the website, including bank transfer and card payment where available.
For bank transfers, your booking will remain pending until the payment has been received and matched to your booking.
If a payment is not received by the applicable deadline, we may contact you before cancelling the booking.
6. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided according to the room type selected at the time of booking.
Room arrangements are subject to availability.
Where a shared room is booked, the room will be shared according to the option selected during booking.
Any special accommodation requests should be communicated to us as early as possible. We cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.
7. Travel to Greece
Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel to and from Greece unless transportation is expressly included in the booking.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary travel documents, passport, visas and any other documents required for their journey.
We strongly recommend that participants obtain appropriate travel insurance before travelling.
8. Activities and workshops
The retreat may include knitting workshops, excursions and other activities described in the programme.
Participants are responsible for bringing any personal equipment or materials specifically requested before the retreat.
Workshop content, teachers and activities may be changed where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If a particular teacher or activity becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative.
9. Cancellation by the participant
If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing by email.
The following cancellation terms apply:
Cancellation until 1 December 2026:
The deposit will be refunded, less a €300 cancellation fee per person.
Cancellation after 1 December 2026:
The amounts already paid are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
If you are unable to attend, you may contact us to discuss whether your booking can be transferred to another person. Any transfer is subject to availability and our prior written approval.
Any costs arising from a booking transfer are the responsibility of the participant.
10. Cancellation or changes by the organiser
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the programme where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather conditions, supplier availability, safety concerns or other operational circumstances.
If we need to cancel the retreat, we will inform participants as soon as reasonably possible and will explain the available options and any refund rights applicable under the law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer or travel law.
11. Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances
The retreat may be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, war, terrorism, government restrictions, epidemics, transport disruption or other unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
Where such circumstances affect the retreat, we will communicate with participants and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
Any cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law will continue to apply.
12. Health, mobility and special requirements
Participants are responsible for informing us in advance of any relevant dietary requirements, allergies, mobility requirements or other needs that may affect their participation in the retreat.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests where possible.
However, we cannot guarantee that every request can be accommodated.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are able to participate safely in the activities they choose to attend.
13. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering, where appropriate:
- Trip cancellation
- Medical expenses
- Emergency assistance
- Baggage
- Travel interruption
- Other costs arising from unexpected circumstances
Participants are responsible for checking that their insurance provides adequate coverage for their individual circumstances.
14. Liability
We are responsible for the services that we are contractually required to provide, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for loss, damage, delay or additional expenses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by services arranged independently by the participant.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
15. Personal belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the retreat.
We recommend that valuable items are not left unattended.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or theft of personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
16. Complaints
If you experience a problem during the retreat, please inform us or the relevant service provider as soon as possible so that we have a reasonable opportunity to address the problem.
Complaints should also be submitted in writing as soon as reasonably possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints promptly.
17. Photography and content
Photography and video may take place during workshops and retreat activities for documentation and promotional purposes.
If we intend to use identifiable images of you for promotional purposes, we will seek your consent where required by applicable law.
You may contact us if you have concerns about the use of your image.
18. Personal data
Personal data provided when making a booking is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.
19. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary to reflect changes to the retreat, our services or applicable legal requirements.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to your booking are those provided to you at the time of booking, subject to any mandatory legal rights.
20. Applicable law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Germany, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any mandatory rights you may have under the laws applicable to your booking.
