-Knitting in Greece-
UPCOMING: Zagorochoria, March 2027
Luxury. Creativity. Connection.
Come knit with us in Zagorochoria.
Tucked away in the mountains of Epirus, Zagorochoria is the setting for our next knitting retreat.
Think peaceful mornings with your knitting, beautiful mountain villages, authentic Greek food, hands-on creative workshops and evenings filled with laughter, dancing and good company.
A few days to slow down, make something beautiful and connect with people who share your passion.
More than a knitting retreat. An experience to remember.
March 22–27, 2027 · Zagorochoria, Greece
Meet Your Host
My name is Marina and I am a Greek knitwear designer.
Knitting is my passion, my work and the way I connect
with people from all over the world.
My designs have been published in international knitting magazines
and books, including collaborative projects and curated collections.
In March 2027, I am bringing my knitting retreat to Zagorochoria,
one of the most beautiful regions of my home country, Greece.
Hosting this retreat feels like a natural extension of my work, bringing together design,
teaching and community in a place that feels meaningful and true to who I am.
But this retreat is about more than knitting. It is about slowing down, discovering a beautiful part of Greece, experiencing its traditions and creating memories with women who share the same passion.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Zagorochoria!
Hugs,
Marina Storm
Guest Instructor: Elenor Mortensen
We are delighted to welcome Elenor Mortensen, an inspiring knitwear designer and our special guest instructor for the retreat.
Elenor has been knitting since the age of eight, when her grandmother first taught her, and knitting has remained a lifelong passion. Her designs are known for beautiful colourwork, expressive patterns and thoughtful construction.
Alongside her work as a designer, Elenor has a background as a handicraft teacher at a Waldorf school, bringing both technical knowledge and a natural teaching ability to her workshops.
During the retreat, Elenor and Marina will lead several in-depth knitting workshops, offering hands-on guidance, inspiration and plenty of time to explore new techniques together.
We are so happy to have Elenor joining us in Zagorochoria and can’t wait to see what we will create together.
Meet Areti — Our Guide to Greece
No Greek adventure would be complete without someone
who knows the country from the inside.
My dear friend Areti will be joining us throughout the retreat
and will be taking care of the travel, excursions and cultural experiences that will make our time in Zagorochoria truly special.
With her knowledge of Greece and her love for discovering beautiful places, Areti will help us experience the region beyond the usual tourist path. She will introduce us to the landscapes, villages, flavours and traditions of Epirus and make sure that every excursion
becomes part of the story we take home with us.
From our day exploring the magnificent villages of Zagorochoria and our visit to Papigo, to discovering local food and traditional crafts, Areti will be there to guide us, share the stories behind the places we visit and make everything run smoothly.
Together, we want to show you a side of Greece that goes beyond beaches and summer holidays: the mountains, the traditions, the food, the people, the landscapes
and the slower rhythm of life.
So while Elenor and I take you on a knitting journey,
Areti will take you on a journey through Greece.
We can’t wait to share it all with you!
The Retreat
This is more than a knitting retreat. It is an invitation to slow down, create,
explore and experience Greece in a very special way.
Set in the beautiful mountains of Zagorochoria, our retreat brings together the things we love most: knitting, creativity, nature, food, tradition and connection.
You can expect inspiring, in depth knitting workshops with Marina and Elenor,
plenty of time to work on your projects and share ideas with fellow knitters,
as well as opportunities to discover the beauty and character of the region.
We will explore the spectacular landscapes and traditional villages of Zagorochoria,
enjoy the flavours of Greek cuisine and take part in hands on experiences inspired by local traditions and crafts.
There will also be time to simply enjoy being away!
Slow mornings, coffee, knitting, conversations, laughter
and the freedom to spend some time doing absolutely nothing.
Our programme will include a day trip to explore the region,
a special yarn experience with The Pokari Project where we will get creative with yarn,
a traditional Greek pie making experience and an evening of Greek dancing.
And of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect!
Come on your own or bring a friend, and leave with new skills,
beautiful memories and hopefully a few new friendships too.
The detailed programme, workshop information
