The most important thing for your Carlotta Scarf is to weight your skein(s) before starting, as we will be increasing for half of the yarn and decreasing for the other half!

It is worked back and forth in one piece, with beautiful decorative edges. The smaller size reaches around the neck once, while the larger size can wrap around the neck twice. There is the option to create an opening from where one end of the Carlotta Scarf passes through and creates a beautiful faux ribbing!

The gauge/size are not crucial, but here are my approx. measurements:

Sizes: Small (Large)
Length from tip to tip: approx. 86 (125) cm 34 (49¼) inches
Width at center: 11 (14) cm 4¼ (5½) inches
Yarn: Small Version: Pascuali filati naturali – Cashmere Worsted held double (Worsted weight, 100% Cashmere (Organic); 56 m/25 g):Horizont 50, 2 skeins
Large Version: Pascuali filati naturali – Maximo Virgin Wool (Chunky weight, 100% Virgin Wool (Organic Merino Extrafine, Gots Certified); 80 m/100 g): Curry 422, 1 skein
Yardage: A whole skein of a bulky yarn, or thinner yarns held together to give a bulky weight yarn
Needles: 7 mm / US 2 needles or bigger needles, as wished.
Gauge: The gauge is not crucial. If you get more rows per cm, then your scarf will be longer. If you get more sts per cm, then your scarf will be wider.
Small Version: 12 sts and 18 rows = 10 cm/4″ in Stockinette Stitch knitted plain, blocked, on 7 mm / US 11 needles.
Large Version: 13 sts and 15 rows = 10 cm/4″ in Stockinette Stitch knitted plain, blocked, on 9 mm / US 13 needles.
