**Travelers** is a wonderful scarf that has been travelling with me in many countries of Europe: Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria and Greece! It is a collaboration with Yarnity, a handdyer friend living in Madrid, Spain.
Travelers is an amazing opportunity to learn knitting Stranded Colorwork!
**Construction:** This scarf is worked back and forth in rows. There are 4 separate sections, two colors per section. There are 3 edge sts in the beginning and the end of the row, and between we have a colorwork rep of 14 sts and 14 rows to repeat 10 times for each section. The chart is identical for all 4 section. Both horizontal edges of the scarf are St. St. folded and sewn on the Wrong Side of the scarf.
**Final suggested measurements**: 44 cm x 204 cm / 17.3” x 80.25”.
The scarf has 4 sections of 40 cm x 50 cm / 15.7” x 19.7” each. Feel free to customize the measurements according to your taste! You can, for example, knit each section 40 cm x 40 cm / 15.7” x 15.7” (knitting 8 Colorwork reps instead of 10) and have a Scarf with 44 cm x 164 cm / 17.3” x 64.5” final measurements.
**Yarn:** Yarnity, Etone (75% Wool, 25% Nylon; 420m (459 yds)/100g) in the following colorways:
Section A: Color 1: Barn together with Color 2: Tafty
Section B: Color 3: Sage together with Color 4: Emerald
Section C: Color 5: Gold together with Color 6: Purple
Section D: Color 7: Alabaster together with Color 8: Berries
Feel free to play with the measurements and also with the colors!
For the whole scarf I used 8 skeins of 50 grams each. You could perfectly use 4 skeins of 100 grams each and play with these 4 colors. If you need advises or suggestions with colors, do not hesitate to contact me: marina@stormknittingart.com
